Privacy notice

We collect the information you give us when you apply — contact details, channel and audience data, uploads — to assess and run a hosted collaboration. We do not sell it, we only share it with the Explera entities and suppliers needed to host you, and you can see, export or delete it from your creator portal.

This notice is being reviewed by counsel for each market. The Explera entity that acts as data controller for your application is named in your collaboration agreement and will be listed here once confirmed.

What we collect

  • Identity and contact details: name, email, country and city of residence, date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or over), preferred language and, if you give it, a WhatsApp number.
  • Channel and audience data: your channels, handles, follower and engagement figures, audience countries and demographics, and the screenshots and media kit you upload.
  • Trip and collaboration details: preferred dates, companion, accessibility or dietary needs, itinerary, agreements, signatures and the deliverables you submit.
  • Passport or ID details only after approval, only if operations need them, encrypted and deleted after the trip under our retention schedule.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser details recorded with consents, signatures and security events.

Why we use it

  • To assess your application, verify reach and audience quality, and reply within our stated time.
  • To prepare, sign and perform the collaboration: bookings, itinerary, on-the-ground support and deliverable checks.
  • To meet legal obligations, keep records and protect the security of the service.
  • To send you news about future programmes — only if you tick the separate marketing box.

Where your data goes

Explera operates through entities in Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and India. Assessing and hosting a trip means your application may be transferred between them, which is why the application asks for your separate consent to cross-border transfer. We also use service providers for hosting, email and electronic signature; they process data only on our instructions.

Laws we follow

Depending on where you live and which market reviews your application, this includes Thailand's PDPA, Japan's APPI, Korea's PIPA, Indonesia's PDP Law (No. 27/2022), Hong Kong's PDPO, India's DPDP Act, and the GDPR and UK GDPR for applicants in Europe and the United Kingdom.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data, withdraw consent and object to marketing. Use the Privacy section of your creator portal; requests are tracked and answered within the time the applicable law sets.

How long we keep it

We keep application data only as long as it is needed for the purposes above. Rejected applications are anonymised after a set period and identity documents are deleted after the trip; the exact periods will be published here once confirmed.
